MIT's Flyfire Robot-Swarm "Everywhere" Screen Display

The pixels are controlled and coordinated by computer, which allows them to use highly precise movements to create detailed images. Eventually, MIT believes these tiny robots will be used to turn any area of space into a display surface. These 'helicopters' are self-stabilizing and use controlling technology developed in the ARES Lab. In the future, you could clip a drone hub onto your ear or stick it into your pocket, and a cloud of tiny LED drones would act as your computer screen whenever you needed it. Sure, there are some practical issues, but none of them outweigh the 'cool factor' of having a swarm of robot minions act as your display.
